L’hétérochromie correspond à une différence de coloration au niveau des yeux. Un oeil hétérochrome est formé de plusieurs couleurs pour un iris.

Dans notre vie professionnelle nous sommes tenu en permanence de nous adapter, presque comme une injonction. Et souvent notre personne « sociale » est autant faite pour protéger notre intimité, que nous présenter sous un jour solide et vaillant.

Je nous vois parfois faisant front au regard des autres ou aux contingences matérielles en quête permanente d’un « upgrade » de nous-même, comme autant d’Iron Man. Non pas tant comme des super-héros, que des êtres à la carapace se devant d’être de plus en plus épaisse et sophistiquée.

DROP THE ARMOR

From October 30 to December 15, 2020 France entered in a second lockdown, motivated by the contaminations thresholds, with the threat of isolation and gradual withdrawal ; a  desert of relationship.

During this period, I decided to shoot those whom I encounter everyday and who constitute a part of my « social » life. They are in my daily life without being strictly speaking intimate.

I chose to deal with the constraints of the lockdown: A session of 1 hour maximum, at less than 1 kilometer from home, where the models would be at least at 1 meter from me. I gave them an appointment in the only place that seemed to me possible.
An « intermediate » space, like a threshold between the private and the public sphere. Neither at home and outside; a place where they could unmask themselves without fully revealing their intimacy. So it was in their building hall or stairwell that these portraits took place. In these « in between » spaces, the sharing were complete.
Telling me how they were dealing with this lockdowned « daily life ».  And it was like I was meeting them for the second time.
